Our first luncheon was great for both the servers and the customers.
We started off preparing the meal two days before the luncheon. The items on the menu were: seasoned pork loin, green beans, sweet potatoes, and a gooey peanut butter cake.
The pork loin was smoked over the weekend, and the green beans and sweet potatoes were made in class. The green beans were made in a big pot served with bits of bacon inside heated over night. The sweet potatoes were served in a very large baking pan. The gooey peanut butter cake was topped off with chocolate and carmel sauce with powdered sugar added on top. The waiters served butter and buns. The available drinks were tea, water, or coffee.
I felt the lunch went well, and the food tasted great. Life in the Mighty Rock Café is one of the best experiences you can get out of life, so I would advise anyone who loves to cook to join the class next year.
