The Working Student By: Joe Urias

Working and going to school isn't always easy. The work program helps
out a lot, since we only have half a day. But, at times things can still
get hard. Waking up early, getting ready for school, working hard at
school, having homework in nearly each class, getting out of school, and
then getting ready and going to work. After work you have to do all of
your homework before finally falling to sleep. Then you wake up and do
it all over again the next day. Sometimes it gets tough trying to keep
up with your school work, and you have to worry about getting in all
of your hours at work. Occasionally, too much work leads to falling
asleep in class and getting behind in school. Luckily, we have great
teachers that understand and have been there before. They give us
extensions on papers and help us catch up on our work when we get a
little behind. Our bosses are cooperative also. They work around our
schedules and help out whenever they can.
