9 Girls *1 Team *1 Goal By: Alex Flores and Tracy Jones

Since 1989, The Lady Longhorns haven't been to the playoffs. Recently,
we broke our 50 game losing streak, now we know that anything is
possible and that we can do anything we put our minds to.
The Lady Longhorns consist of 2 seniors, Alisha and Raela, 2
juniors, myself (Alex) and Katelyn Kennedy, and 5 sophomores, Haleigh,
Skyler, Mercedes, Erica and Jennifer.
We started District out losing to the Lady Raiders (0-1). Then
we accomplished our first goal, beating Pampa for a (1-1). We beat the
Lady Demonettes for a record of (2-1). We lost focus against the Lady
Dons that brought us to a record of (2-2). We successfully stomped the
Herd for a record of (3-2). We lost to the Lady Raiders for a record of
(3-3).
Over the years, we've grown on each other, not only as team
mates but more like sisters! We are no longer individuals; we are one
team!
Tonight, we face the Lady Harvesters in a game that could take us
to the playoffs. Practices have been tougher and rougher. We've gotten more
serious then ever before.
WE ARE DETERMINED! WE WILL SUCCEED! WE ARE THE LADY
LONGHORNS!!!!
