"Coach Parr May go Far" by Marc Martinez

About two weeks before Christmas break, Head Coach Gerald Nipp resigned.
In his place, Coach Parr (from Palo Duro) took the position. He has
really big plans for Caprock, planning to make us one of the best
football teams in the state. So far, he has rearranged the weight room as a
"fresh start" reminder. He has replaced a majority of the coaches and has
decided to do spring training instead of two-a-days at the beginning of
the season. Also, he has begun intensive off-season training everyday
before school and after school till about 5:00p.m. Parr is also planning
on getting the varsity new uniforms again as another "fresh start"
reminder, and the old uniforms were not that good looking anyway.
A majority of the players like the new coach, and everybody has high hopes.
Now, everybody is working even harder than ever before to get bigger and
faster than everybody else. A lot of players that resigned earlier this
year when Nipp was in charge, have came back to give this new coach from
Palo Duro a shot. Maybe we will even be better than our rivals and Coach
Parr's father, the head coach of Palo Duro.
